Terms of Service

Umbretta is a platform that helps people find and contact one another. Umbretta is not a service provider, employer, agent, insurer, payment processor, or party to the agreement between users.
1. The platform
We provide listings, search, messaging, proposals, engagement tracking, reviews, and safety tools. Features may change, be interrupted, or be unavailable. We do not arrange, supervise, perform, or guarantee any service requested or offered through the platform.
2. Independent users and contracts
Users are independent parties. Any agreement about scope, timing, price, payment, permits, taxes, insurance, cancellation, or completion is made directly between the customer and provider. You are responsible for checking the other party's identity, qualifications, references, legal right to work, and suitability.
3. No endorsement or guarantee
Profiles, verification indicators, reviews, rankings, and suggestions are informational signals, not endorsements or guarantees. We do not promise that a listing, user, quote, message, review, result, or service is accurate, lawful, safe, available, suitable, or of a particular quality.
4. Your responsibilities
You must provide accurate information, use the platform lawfully, keep your account secure, communicate honestly, pay and perform what you agree with another user, obtain required licences or permissions, and comply with consumer, employment, tax, health, safety, and other applicable laws. Do not impersonate anyone, mislead others, discriminate unlawfully, harass, defraud, scrape, spam, or arrange illegal or dangerous activity.
5. Safety and urgent issues
Use your own judgement and take reasonable precautions before meeting or hiring anyone. Do not use Umbretta for emergencies or urgent professional advice. Contact emergency services or a qualified professional when appropriate. Report suspected fraud, abuse, illegal content, or unsafe conduct through the available reporting tools.
6. User content and communications
You remain responsible for content you post or send and must have the rights and permissions needed to do so. You grant Umbretta a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, display, transmit, and moderate that content to operate, secure, and improve the platform. Do not share sensitive personal data unless necessary and lawful.
7. Moderation and account action
We may review, restrict, remove, or preserve content and may suspend or close accounts where we reasonably believe these Terms, the law, or platform safety require it. We may cooperate with valid legal requests. Moderation does not make us responsible for user conduct or content.
8. Problems between users
Try to resolve service issues directly with the other user. Umbretta may provide records, messaging, reporting, or dispute tools, but any review or decision is limited to platform administration and is not legal, professional, or binding arbitration advice. We do not guarantee recovery of money or completion of work.
9. Limits of responsibility
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Umbretta is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit losses, or for loss, injury, fraud, damage, delay, non-payment, non-performance, or unlawful conduct arising from interactions or services between users. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including rights and remedies that apply under mandatory consumer, personal-injury, fraud, or data-protection law.
10. Changes and contact
These Terms are between you and Umbretta ("Umbretta," "we," "us") and are governed by the laws of Egypt. Any dispute that cannot be resolved directly between the parties is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Egypt. We may update these Terms by publishing a new version. If a change materially affects users, we will provide notice where required and may require renewed acceptance. The current version and effective date appear on this page.
